Take Two...

Okay y'all. I'm trying this again...

I was planning a big elaborate post fir this announcement, but if anyone has seen my schedule lately, you'd know that about darn near impossible to do these days. So in an effort to at least get the news out, guess I'll just come right out and say it.

I'm pregnant!!

Big news, huh? Especially when I didn't think it would happen so soon. Just lucky, I guess. After we found out about my cyst, we were going to hold off continuing to try until I got it all taken care of. But it was already too late! Funny how things work out sometimes.

So I'm about 10 1/2 weeks right now. Been pretty non-eventful so far. ::knock on wood:: Haven't been sick. Haven't been too terribly tired. But I'm definitely going to bed earlier than I used to, that's for sure. Yep, just hungry all the time...which is not helping out the GRADUAL weight gain my doctor has recommended. Oops. Now that I'm starting to get some energy back though (and it's finally warming up outside), I'm going to start walking more and keep all this gaining better in check.

So. Yeah. Big news. Little scary. But I hope you all will stay with me through this new journey in my life. I'll need the support, I'm sure! :o)

Hey y'all! I know I said that I would start doing better with my blogging and yet it's been another week or so since my last visit. Shame on me. ::slaps hand:: BUT, I'm now laid up in bed for the next day, so I have a bit of time. Thought I'd give y'all a quick update as to WHY I'm laid up in bed.

I mentioned in my 2009 review that the dentist found a cyst under my gums back where one of my wisdom teeth was removed from and sent me to the oral surgeon. Went in to see him and verified there was a cyst there. His plan of action: CT scan to get a better 3D picture of it, biopsy to determine what type to know best treatment plan, then finally removal.

This morning was biopsy day. And let me tell you. Having a biopsy on a cyst in your mouth is not. fun. at. all. The actual procedure went quite quickly. We got there about 9am and we were on the way home by 10:15am. It's the pain and bleeding and dry scratchy throat afterwards that kill you. Believe you me.

My throat was so dry and scratchy that I could barely talk and had to get Ward to bring me a notepad so I could write down everything I wanted to say. Once I became coherent enough I had him bring the laptop so then I just typed what I wanted. He's been downstairs most of the day so anytime I need him, I either send him a text or honk my duck call. Yes, you heard that right. Duck. Call. Apparently he could not find a suitable bell for me to ring, so I get a duck call. And then he has the nerve to call my 'calling' "pitiful". Umm...you try blowing through this thing when you can barely feel half your mouth and the other half hurts!

My stitches keep bleeding so I've had gauze stuffed in my mouth all day. Sure doesn't help the dry throat situation there. And to top it off, my pain meds aren't really helping all that much. It took sooooooo long for them to kick in and I took one just as soon as we got home this morning. I'm supposed to keep ice on 30min on and 10min off. I took it off after the first 30 min and not a minute later the pain came back so strong I wanted to cry. I've had ice on continuously since then. But hubby's been great about getting me new ice packs. He even used the vacu-packer to make some so they wouldn't leak. He's so resourceful, that man. I think if the pain continues as bad as it is today, I think I'll have Ward call tomorrow to get a new drug. They gave me Darvocet, which has acetaminophen (Tylenol), and Tylenol has NEVER worked for me. Errg.

So, for the results. They at least found that it was definitely a cyst and not a tumor, so that was good. Pathology results as to the type of cyst should be due back in the next week. I've got a follow-up scheduled for the 1st. Hopefully those come back saying it's just your everyday cyst and they just have to go in and scoop it out. Oral Surgeon said some cysts are real aggressive and not only do they take out the cyst, but also tissue and possibly teeth around it as well. I do NOT want to have that kind of cyst!! The bad news? Yes, there was bad news. Apparently the cyst is quite large. Probably like Brazil nut size. So it's already pressing into my jaw bone and like eroding away the bone so they actually will have to take out part of my jaw bone to get out the entire cyst. Greeeeaaaaat. Doc says though that since I'm young and healthy, the bone will regenerate itself so they won't have to put in any reinforcement. Better keep up with my calcium, huh? But he was quite concerned about the strength of the jaw and said even eating a tough steak might cause it to fracture! So I'll be on a quite soft food diet for a while after they remove the cyst.

Haha! I'm sure you guys were totally looking forward to reading all about cysts and jaws and bleeding. :o) But it's what's going on in my life right now, so I thought that I would share. Thanks for 'listening'!

Haha! Oh, about 13 years!

First Date

When:
It was November of 2000. Not sure it was ever like an official "date". We had known each other for 13 years, but never really ran in the same circles. But after we decided we liked each other, me, him, and a couple other friends went to Denny's one night. I think that was the same night we decided we were officially 'dating'. November 25, 2000.

Where:
Oops...already answered that one...Denny's. Classy, right?

Who asked who:
To be honest, he asked me out on an actual date first, but I had a student council event that night so I couldn't go. So I, in turn, invited him to go out to dinner with me and some friends.

Best part about the date:
The end. We all rode together from my house, so when we got back, he was the last to leave. ;o)

Most nervous about:
Hanging out with him and my friends. We all knew each other, but we'd never all hung out really outside of school. It went amazingly smooth, though. Then I got real nervous once he was the only left at my house after we got back from dinner!

Who called whom first:
Okay, so I probably need to tell a bit of the back story for this to make sense. I liked him. We were in class together. He was having a party at his mom's beach house the weekend of the last football game. Me and two friends were going down to Galveston that night already to get our belly buttons pierced (aren't I the rebel!?) so I asked him if we could swing by. We did. He was wasted, but we hung out, played Duck Hunt on the (old skool) Nintendo, I got to drive his new truck to Jack in the Box, and walked on the beach talking while trying to find my friend who had 'disappeared' with a guy. He hugged me when we left while his ex-girlfriend was glaring at us from the balcony. (ha!) The next week at school, he confessed to his best friend that he thought he liked me. I (had a crush on him for years so I) wanted to see if it would go somewhere, so I called him to see if we could borrow his truck for the student council food drive. He agreed, which led to the dinner at Denny's after we were all finished transporting the canned goods...

First Kiss

Out in the breezeway at my parent's house.

Hmm...I'm gonna say it was pretty mutual, but I was nervous as all get out, so he probably leaned in first.

The date. Of course, I'll always remember the shirt I was wearing. It was red, with a glittery butterfly on it. :o)

Who said it first:
Actually, he did. He was really upset about something (can't remember exactly what anymore) and about on the verge of tears and during the conversation he mumbled something along the lines of, "I think I'm in love with you...". To which I responded by wrapping my arms around his neck and hugging him tight and saying, "Well, you know I love you, right??"

When:
You, know, I don't recall exactly when that was.

Where:
We were at my parent's house. He was about to go home when the whole upsetting conversation started. Man, I sure wish I could remember why he was so upset in the first place.

His reaction:
He just kept hugging me tight. I think it helped him calm down though...knowing that it was mutual.

No guy had ever told me that and I knew I loved him so I was just so happy I finally found someone that loved me back!

I got to go with his family to his mom's side's family reunion in California.

Mostly edible ones. They have the best salt water taffy.

We have. A couple times. They have the reunion every year.

Christmas of 2000. We'd only been dating a month. I'm pretty sure he got me a cute hoodie and some cotton shorts that said SOFTBALL...I'd started playing again shortly before that.

He got me flowers not too long ago. Just cuz. :o)

Well, last year, he was in Paris for Valentine's...not sure what's in store for us yet this year.

Well, the first memorable meal would have to be from our one year anniversary. We stole down to the beach house, alone, for the night and we cooked shells and cheese and added some ham to it.

I helped with the shells and cheese, but he was trying to be romantic and make me dinner. :o)

Gravy. My mom always made gravy with mashed potatoes and his mom didn't.

Clam chowder. One of his mom's specialties that I had never had before. Delish, btw!

Favorite meals:
Hmm...not sure if we have any favorites really. There are things that I cook a lot just because we like them and they're easy.

Favorite treats:
We love brownies. So I try not to make them too often. They get eaten way too fast!

Favorite things to do:
Sit on the couch and watch movies. We're so boring!

Favorite Ice Cream:
That I can get out of my freezer? Mine would probably be mint chocolate chip. His would be the HEB Creamy Creations caramel turtle pecan or something like that.

I would say the Mexican place back home, El Sombrero. He loves it to, but I don't know if he'd call it a favorite or not...

Uhh...we don't dance...

Um, movie theater? Because that's the only theaters we ever go to!

Like Eyegirl, we're not too terribly exciting. Dinner and a movie is about as exciting as we get when we go out. Every once in a blue moon we make it out to a concert, so that's fun.

Hiatus

Hello all! I apologize for my lack of posting this week. I told you it was going to be super crazy busy.

It is now November. I know, I can't believe it either. Hubby is at work. On a Sunday. Go figure. And I've been going over things in my head all morning long. I've been so convinced with everything going on lately that my writing here and tweeting with you all is soothing and relaxing. Today it hit me. I. Am. Utterly. And. Completely. OVERWHELMED.

So far this weekend I haven't read blogs, I haven't written blogs, I haven't tweeted, I haven't facebooked. I have checked in on some to see what's going on, but I have not been an active participator. And I think that I will continue to just be a passive onlooker for a while. Thus the hiatus. I just can't keep up with it all right now. I desperately want to. I fear I will desperately need to, but I just can't.

I need to take a step back for a while and get some things together with me. I'm sure from time to time when I really need to vent or have a hilarious story that I just have to share, I will be back. But don't worry that I've fallen off the planet. I'm still here. I just won't be around much for a while.

Believe me, I will TRULY miss tweeting with you all while at work. Shoot, I was out one day and felt like I missed an eternity of what you all had going on! But the truth is, I can't really handle anyone else's lives right now besides my own. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry I can't be someone who you can talk to right now to vent your own troubles. It saddens me that I won't be there for y'all when so many of you have been there for me.

I feel like my life right now has been sucked up in a tornado and it has spit me out miles away from home with pieces of it, left scattered, here and there, all along the way. So, for now, I will be walking my way back, picking up the pieces as I go so I may be able to put them all back together again once I get home.

Welcome! Returning friends may notice some changes over here on my blog. Don't worry, it's still me! I've just decided to make a fresh start with a new identity. Hope you enjoy it!

For any new-comers, first off, thanks for stopping by! I'd like to share a little background with you and help you get to know me, here at Chronicles of June.

I'm June. I started blogging in February after a good friend revealed to me the glory that is the blogosphere! Since I started, I also joined Twitter, and have really made some wonderful friends! Friends that help me get through the struggle of a job I have right now. My greatest aspirations are to quit my day job and open a store on Etsy. I would love to be a stay at home/work at home mom. Well, to do that, I guess I would need kids, huh??

I've been with the Ward for just about nine years now. We've been married about 3 1/2 of those nine, but we've known each other since we were about, oh, five years old! Awww...so sweet! I know, right? :o) We've decided this year that it's time for this two of a kind to get working on a full house! No luck yet, but you better believe I'll keep you posted on all that's going on.

I say this is a fresh start, but feel free to browse any of my older posts. They're all still there!

I became June once I realized that what I really wanted out of life was to be home to cook and clean and iron and sew and bead and keep house and provide a nuturing home. I know it may be old fashioned, but I guess that's just me, an old fashioned girl taking this modern world by the reins and running with it.

Not too long ago, I wrote my "So Fed Up" post. (forgive me. I would link it, but I don't know how on this blogpress lite app) Anywho, I mentioned possibly changing doctors since I didn't feel I was getting the attention I wanted from my current doctor. She would answer questions I DIDN'T ask and NOT answer questions I would ask. She was nice and all, but I just felt overlooked. And with my history and concerns of getting pregnant that is definitely not how I want to feel with my OB/GYN.

As luck would have it, our insurance changed this year. The doctor I used to see (before I had to switch when she wasn't on my insurance anymore) is back on my insurance! Now, I really really liked my old doctor. She was nice, attentive, listened, even got to know me as a person, not just a patient.

So I called the other day and got an appointment. I'll be switching back to her. I'll see if she agrees with this progesterone therapy for my long absences of a period. And I'm hoping she'll agree to starting me on clomid next year like my old doc had. We need to get this pregnancy show on the road!

Now I just have to wait the two more months until my appointment! All in nervous anticipation. :o)

Okay, so I got some incredible help from our good friend, Fidgeting Gidget. Together we have come up with a new blog identity for me. I have yet to come up with a new header picture, but I'll be working on that. I have something in the works. I also wanted to get you guys' opinion, too. Okay, so here goes...

From now on, I'll be known as: "Chronicles of June" - Musings of a modern day June Cleaver. I'm June and my hubby will now be known as Ward. That's me being more incognito. :o)

Now, I don't know that I'll change my actual domain name. I already have once and apparently I caused some confusion with that. Sorry. But I do wonder since I'll now be June instead of Jules, maybe it should change. Chroniclesofjune.blogspot.com is actually already taken, so maybe I could change it to journalingjune.blogspot.com. What do y'all think? Would that be okay? I'll wait a few days to make the change just so everyone can get a chance to read this first. :o)

Time for a change?

As you all know, my blog is titled A Day in the Life. I came up with that on the fly while creating my blog. Obviously I'm not the most creative of individuals. The more I see it, the more...generic...it seems. I don't want to be generic. So, what do y'all think of "Housewife Wannabe"? Heehee...little more descriptive there, eh?

I'm pretty sure my blog will continue to evolve as my life does and this is where I am right now. I'm an old fashioned girl trying to navigate this modern world. I totally should have been born in the 30s. I admit, I'm super tech savy. But I really just want to stay home and clean house and iron laundry and cook a big homemade meal every night for my husband and sew my own clothes for my kids. Is that too much to ask for in this day and age?

This week I will probably work on a (nother) new blog template and header to better portray who I am these days. Who knows how to create my own logo/avatar??

Who knows...this will probably translate to ANOTHER Twitter screenname change too!

So fed up!

With myself...or really, more with my body. Just a warning, this will most likely be a TMI post so if you don't want to read it, I understand. But if you do, you might want a little background info and you can find that on this other TMI post here.

Okay, so why am I fed up? Um, probably because my body thinks that I've gone back in time and wants to live through Eighth Grade again! I'm totally serious. I have pimples all over face, chest, AND back. My (already small) boobs have shrunk to pre-teen levels. And I have not had a normal, natural period in the eigth plus months since I've been off birth control. Yeah. Like I said. Eighth. Grade. What the heck, body?

I've been to the dermatologist numerous times about my acne. While it's not really bad, it's full on moderate and always has been. I have never gone a day without one, and usually several, pimples on my face. I've tried it all. Over the counter, prescription, mail order. I finally found one prescription that worked pretty darn well, but of course, my doctor said I shouldn't use it when I get pregnant, and since we're trying I've stopped using it. And now back to square one trying to find something else that works. In the mean time, however, my acne has gotten pretty darn severe on my chest and back. I'll be planning another appointment with the derm. here shortly. This has gone on long enough!

The one good thing to come out of this was the fact that I lost about 10 pounds finally. And while that meant losing what little boobage I had gained (and then some), I have been able to keep it off quite easily and now have a killer stomach. I am proud of that stomach, just not the non-existant and acne ridden chest it's attached to. Seriously, I barely fill out a 32A these days. I wore an XS button up shirt to work the other day and it was too big through the chest area. I'm not okay with that!

Like I said in my other post, I have to take progesterone pills every two months I don't have a period. Well, that's the only reason I've had any periods in the last eight months. And obviously, no natural periods means no ovulating either. Yay. That's super helpful when you're trying to get pregnant, let me tell you! I mean, eight months so far. Should I be concerned about that? My doctor doesn't seem to be too concerned. She'd rather I just got on the clomid, got pregnant, and be done with it. She also says I'm still young and otherwise healthy, so it should be okay. Um...do I need to find a new doctor?

Sorry guys for the TMI, but I'm just frustrated with it all right now. Oh and look at that, 8:15am. I leave for work in 15 minutes and I haven't even dried my hair yet. Oops. Wish I could just call in sick, but I have too much to do today. Maybe tomorrow. :o)

So much on my mind

Oh my goodness you guys. I have soooooo much going through my mind right now. Unfortunately (for me, probably good thing for you all!) I can't type it all out on my little iPhone here. So I'm going to post a quick little snapshot is my thoughts so at least maybe I have something to look back on when trying to remember what I was going to write about. Here goes...

~I can't stop thinking about ways to earn money OTHER than my day job. I keep reading the "Quit Your Day Job" stories on Etsy and get my hopes up but then I'm so scared that I won't make any money.

~Im really tired of my husband being out of town. This trip had been the absolute worst because it was so sudden and his return dates keep changing. Every day it gets pushed back another day or so. No ideas when he'll be home for sure. Sucks too since the hilidy weekend is coming up.

~I'm thinking about painting the office over this long weekend. Then I could really start getting to work organizing in there. Something that needs to happen SOON.

~I really need to work late to get caught up, but then I've got to mow the lawn, wash the dishes, do laundry and start working on updating our august budget. So where do I spend the time?? A job I'm starting to loathe or home where I'm the only one to take care of anything there right now. Hmm...

~I said I would take a mental health day this week if my eye was still twitching. Well, guess what. It's still twitching. Guess what else. I don't have time to take a day off.

~I've been so obsessed lately with trying to find ways we can be able to live on just my husbands salary because I want to quit my job THAT BAD.

Play so that hot longer than I thought it would, but be lucky because had I actually been on the computer it would have been even longer! :o)

Now, I'm not completely sold that this is all true. I don't think of my self as very creative, but I do love the Fall!

Will it work? I sure hope so!

Like I’ve been saying for the last while, we’ve been reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People workbook at work. So far, we’ve been discussing our roles, goals, purpose in life…you know…deep stuff. While it's not really helping in making me more effective at work, it is having a positive effect (though not one that I want to share with my co-workers and my boss!).

Now, I don’t know if this would happen for everyone, but all this reading about what I want out of life and where I’m headed has really got me thinking about where I want to be in the future. And it sure isn’t at the job I’m at right now! :o)

This afternoon, I was reading through the next chapter to start preparing for our meeting tomorrow and I started putting a plan together for my life. The other day I talked about starting my own Etsy store. And with other recent events, I’ve decided on a plan that works great for me. (Now to just convince my husband!)

Here’s my plan:

Over the next few months, we’ll continue working on all those house projects we’ve got going on so that I can finally feel like I’ve moved into my house (2 ½ years later…). Once that’s all done, then I can really start to focus on making items that I would like to sell in my store. I can make more jewelry, practice my sewing, and maybe even come up with some new ideas! Then I can open my store. I’d like to get a few things made and start thinking of my pricing and policies and all that before I officially open up. But ideally, I’d like to open before the end of the year. That’s my goal. I’ll continue working at my current job and give up the new job search because ideally I’ll only have to keep working for another year or so. (That’s the last part of my plan) Once our first baby arrives (hopefully in the next year or so), I would like to then quit working my day job and have my only income coming from my store.

Now I know that my Etsy store won’t make me probably even a quarter of the amount I make right now, but I’m okay with that. I’d rather live more frugally than continue slaving away at a job I’m not super happy with all the while having some daycare raise my children.

What’s that old saying? “I’d rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.” Or something along those lines. Hubby, of course, would rather be rich so he can spend bukoos of money and have all his “toys”, but we all know who runs the show around here. :o)

And hey, if hubby’s salary gets all the bills paid, maybe my little bit of extra on the side will be fine enough to keep us happy.

Now, I’m off to work a bit more on the guest room before I collapse into bed for the night.

I wish that I could write more, but with the new crackdown on the internet at work, it’s so much harder. Bare with me guys, I’ll try to post as often as I can!

Work - this and that

Since I seem to be in a mental rut these days and have been lacking very interesting things to share with you all, I thought I’d go the easy route and copy one of these great question/answer dealies:

1. How many post it notes are stuck to your computer screen?
4, at the moment

2. Do you have one of those plastic floor covers for your desk chair to roll on?Absolutely.

3. How many (work-related) emails to you receive & send per day?
Let’s see..yesterday I received 30 (well, that’s how many are left in my Inbox after having deleted some, I’m sure) and I sent 13.

4. At what part of the day are you the most productive?
It totally varies on the day. Some days I’m really productive in the mornings…other days I just CAN’T get started, but I get a ton done in the afternoon…

5. How often do you go out to lunch?
Every Friday, except the last Friday of every month when they order pizza for the whole office!

6. Does your boss pop the collar on his trench coat?
Not that I’ve ever noticed.

7. Is there someone in your office that you just can't stand?
I can’t think of anyone that I “just can’t stand”. There is one pretty creepy guy though…

8. What percent of time each day would you say on non-work related tasks? i.e. blogging!
I used to RARELY do anything other than work, except maybe read the news online for a quick break, or during lunch. Lately? I’m ALWAYS doing something else…would that translate to me being bored with my job?? But since there’s very few things I can get to on the internet here, it’s probably like 70/30 work to non-work.

9. Do you have a favorite pen that you use everyday?
LOTS! I went out and bought all my own pens so that I could have a variety. Well, variety of colors, that is. I really like to color code, so I have about 10 different colored pens/Sharpies.

10. Do you listen to music while @ work? If so, what kind?
I would not be able to function without my music!! I used to just listen to the radio…either country or pop. Lately I’ve been bringing my iPod and listening to that exclusively. I have ALL KINDS of music on there. I LOVE music…and I love the variety while I work.

2. If you had boy/girl twins today, what would you name them?Ella Nicole and Emmett Ryan (I just thought of Emmett today…it’s really growing on me.) :o)

3. 5 Biggest Purchases of 2008:Hmm…what did we buy last year…paid for vacation, bought our laminate wood flooring, umm…we bought a lot of stuff for the house…I can’t even remember last year!!

4. What 3 words do you think of when I say Italy?Tuscany, bread, wine

5. How fond of vegetables are you? Which ones are your favorite?Oh, I really like veggies…most of them. I love zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, peas…so many…it’d probably be easier to list the ones I don’t like!

6. If I were a character on "Friends" I'd be:I would probably be Monica

7. 5 of your pet peeves.no driving fools…I mean, people that don’t use blinkers, when John stops talking mid-sentence, plans that aren’t thought through thoroughly enough (that was a lot of “ough”s.), unkept promises, rudeness

8. What was the last thing you regret buying?Right now I’m regretting buying the Bowflex since John has used it once since we bought it in February. So much for promises. Ahem…**glancing at question above…**

9. What three things come to your mind when I say the word “Fresh”? clean, shower, laundry

10. Cheers, Mash, or Seinfeld?Mash…I still watch re-runs of that show…funny stuff.

11. I should be:Working at the moment. We all need a little break now and then, though, right??

What is something that you really should get rid of, but haven’t:We still have unpacked boxes from when we moved into our house…2+ years ago…I could really just throw it all out…haven’t used it in 2 years, what makes me think I still need it enough to keep it until I finally get around to unpacking? And then just throwing most of it out anyway!!

13. Do you think that a person can really change?I think if they want it enough. Most people don’t have the determination to really change themselves, but if it’s important enough, they’ll try really hard.

14. In your opinion, what is the best tv show that isn’t on the air anymore?Is Reba still on the air? I used to see re-run on Lifetime at the gym. I LOVED that show.

15. Is it easier to forgive or forget?For me? Easier to forgive…it’s VERY hard for me to forget something I’ve had to forgive.

16. What do you order when you eat Chinese food?Usually like chicken and broccoli or beef and broccoli…and egg drop soup…love me some egg drop soup.

17. Is your blog a dirty little secret, or do you tell everyone you meet about it?I tell lots of people that I do blog, but don’t really go around handing out business cards with the address or anything. I do have links up on Facebook though. So if you want to find me, you can.

Not much…an “emergency kit” with some tools, jumper cables, a rain jacket, and a hardhat.

John…though I was trying to be mad…didn’t work out so well for me.

Putting on makeup wishing I had just a few more minutes to read…so close to the end.

Sneaking in a few more pages of my book in my lap under my desk…not wanting to get to work quite yet. **SHH!** :o)

Work clothes…dress pants and short sleeve sweater

Me? Run? Umm…no…running doesn’t agree with me…I jogged a little last week though on my walk with the dogs.

Getting there…definitely tanner than I was a month ago.

Favorite Things

Wow! I’ve never been tagged in a blog before! Thanks Val!! I almost don’t know what to write about, I’m just so excited! Okay, right. So I was tagged in a meme by Val (Mrs. C) and I’m definitely game to try it out!
Rules:

2. List six unimportant things that make you happy.

(1) Books. I shamelessly admit that I love a good book. I am definitely one of those people that can get completely lost in a book. Take the Twilight series, for example…who else could lay on the couch for 12 hours reading and not think twice about it??

(2) Spring. I love a nice warm breeze on a cool spring day. Clear blue sky. Sun shining bright. The rest of the year seems worth it for those few glorious spring days.

(3) Email/texts/cards/notes/comments. I love little notes and such from friends. Kind of just to say, “Hey, someone was thinking about me just now.” Such a warm feeling. Though I know I should reciprocate much more often. Now I feel guilty for not giving back that feeling I get…shame on me.

(4) A clean house. Nothing makes me happier than having a clean house. NOTHING. The one time I hired a cleaning service and came home to a spotless house, I could have screamed with joy! It doesn’t get that clean very often, but boy am I happier when it is that clean!

(5) Music. All kinds. I really like music. When my husband isn’t home (because he would laugh at me) I turn up the radio really loud and dance and sing around the house. What a stress reliever! I love the emotion in lots of kinds of music.

(6) Passion. Not that I’m a completely passionate person, but I love the idea that I could be. I love when people have a passion about something. I love the passion in my books. I love the passion in my music. I love the passion in a good movie. Makes me feel like that could be MY reality…MY passion. Makes me smile. :o)

This will be hard since I read so many blogs but only have 4 followers myself! Most of these people probably don’t know I exist, but I like reading them none-the-less.

The Happy Housewife

Attention Target Shoppers

Whoa...weirdo!

Umm, yeah, that would be me. I swear, my husband leaves town for a few (okay, like 12 this trip!) days and I'm a completely different person! What's our normal Monday evening like? Eat a decent dinner in front of the TV watching our Monday night CBS lineup and I (hopefully) get in a quick workout. What did I do tonight when I was home alone? Made a decent dinner (Taco Soup, which was delicious), did a quick workout while it was 'simmering', watched Big Bang and then recorded Ghost Whisperer from last Friday. After that I took the dogs out on a good 30min. walk because it was such a nice night out. When I got home I went crazy cleaning the living room. I did everything but vacuum the couch. I then washed all the dishes and picked up in the kitchen. What a productive night! Oh, I almost forgot...while I was doing all this crazy cleaning, I turned on the radio and danced with the dogs. :o)
